Founded in 2025, it is operated from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and serves buyers, fleet operators and dealers across India.
For most operators, a truck or a backhoe loader is the single largest working asset they will ever buy. Yet the information around that purchase has always been scattered — a price quoted differently in every showroom, specifications that vary between brochures, and resale values that depend entirely on who you ask.
We started Only Heavy in 2025 to put that information in one place and keep it honest. Every model page carries the same structure: engine and payload specifications, variant-wise ex-showroom and on-road price, running cost, finance options and real listings from verified dealers. Nothing is pay-to-rank, and no listing is promoted above another because of a commercial arrangement.
Today the platform covers five vehicle categories and more than forty manufacturer brands — serving single-truck owners, fleet buyers and equipment contractors across India.

Where our prices and specifications come from
Every number we publish is traceable. Our research desk maintains the data, and dealer-supplied figures are checked against manufacturer sources before they go live.
Collect from the OEM source
Specifications and variant pricing come from manufacturer brochures, homologation data and authorised dealer price lists — not from resellers.
Normalise across brands
Every model is mapped to the same specification structure so a Tata and an Ashok Leyland can genuinely be compared line by line.
Verify the seller
Used listings are checked for RC ownership, hypothecation status and photographs of the actual unit before publication.
Re-check on a cycle
Prices are reviewed monthly and after every manufacturer revision or GST change, with the update date shown on the page.
Dealers pay for leads and listings. They cannot pay to change a rating, a price or a comparison result.

Only Heavy is an independently owned platform operated from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, founded in 2025 by a team from commercial vehicle retail and automotive research. It is not owned by any manufacturer, dealer group or financier.
How does Only Heavy make money?
We earn from dealer subscriptions, listing packages and qualified buyer enquiries. Editorial content — prices, specifications, comparisons and rankings — is never sold. A dealer cannot pay to change a price, a rating or where a model appears in a comparison.
Are the prices on Only Heavy accurate?
Prices are sourced from manufacturer and authorised dealer price lists and reviewed monthly, as well as after every GST or manufacturer revision. On-road figures include RTO and insurance and vary by state, so the final invoice from a dealer may differ slightly.
Is it free to list a truck or machine for sale?
Yes. Individual owners can list a used truck or construction machine free of charge. Listings are checked for ownership documents and photographs of the actual unit before they are published.
